50 Things

A list, 50 things about me.

• I have three sons.
• I was married on February 29. It was not planned, it was just the date the minister was available.
• I planned my wedding in four days
• I only dated Jared for 2 weeks before we were engaged, and 3 months before we were married.
• One of my goals, is to take my boys to all fifty states before they go to college (so far we're at 20 for two of them, and 19 for the other, with more coming this summer.)
• I'm terrified of June Bugs
• I'm very grossed out by box elder bugs.
• My favorite season is Fall.
• I use to tell people I was crossed eyed, because one day, I crossed my eyes, and my brother smacked me on the back of the head, and it stuck.
• I think our roof is perfect for solar panels.
• My favorite food is French Fries
• I'm the fastest member of my family, when it comes to speed stacks.
• I once got a metal in high school for having the highest math grade in the entire school.
• My drivers license says I'm 5'3".
• I'm a reality tv show junkie, and I don't consider sports reality tv.
• I cheated at cards starting around the age of 4, by looking into the glasses of my opponents. All of my family members wore glasses.
• I'm a teensy bit competitive.
• I have a B.S. in Horticultural Therapy, and a Master's in Agribuisness
• I love technology and gadgets.
• I've been to nine different countries.
• I can walk on stilts.
• I can play the violin, while standing on my head. But, I don't plan on proving that one.
• I was once in a show at Silver Dollar City, in Missouri.
• I can flip 10 eggs (over easy) at once on a grill
• I only drink milk out of a clear glass, not plastic, glass, must be clear
• I hate pulps in my orange juice, can't even drink it if they're in there.
• I can play the mandolin, violin, banjo, and piano. I took lessons on flute and sax, but I don't remember anything about those.
• I love the ocean, lakes, rivers. All water in general. I can sit and stare at it for hours. It's very relaxing.
• I usually have a camera on hand, and have taken at least THOUSANDS photos of the boys in their lifetime. When we come home from vacation, I usually have at least 3000 photos from the trip.
• When growing up, I wanted nothing more than to move away from Lathrop, and live in a big city. Manhattan was as big of a city as I ever made it to, before discovering, I wanted back in a small town. Now, 15 years after moving away from Lathrop, we're moving back. Full circle.
• I worry too much
• I can play "My Name is Jonas" in Guitar Hero III, medium level, PERFECT.
• I am not a good housekeeper
• In fact, I hate cleaning
• And, I'm a pack rat, to boot.
• I enjoy gardening, but don't like weeding, and usually forget to water.
• I don't like talking on the phone.
• I get nervous, when trying, or doing new things.. for example, I didn't eat a hot lunch at school for about 4 months, when I first got my job, because I had not done it before. It turned out, to be not bad at all. I just stress and stress before doing something new and unknown though.
• I'm a poor speller
• I can't wear socks, when I sleep
• Being a mom is more fun than I ever thought it would be.
• I work in the special education department at the local grade school, and love it.
• I love the internet.
• I'm fairly handy. I've built a small deck, a picnic table, and can fix many small problems around the house that I never thought I'd be able to do.
• I'm a bit lazy, and enjoy just lounging on the sofa.
• I'm a decent of Pocahontas.
• I have a dry sense of humor.
• I collect magnets, from our travels.
• I stay up too late at night, and have a hard time getting out of bed every morning.
