Happy Halloween!
Only two boys wanted to go trick or treating this year. Caleb is a teenager now. No trick or treating for him. He just waited for his brothers to bring him back some candy. Alex was called the Pillsbury Doughboy, a Pampered Chef, the Hogwarts Chef, and Chef Boyardee. Everyone knew who Jonas was.
I finished their costumes on the 29th at midnight. In plenty of time. They had fun fun fun. We came back to Manhattan, to be surrounded by our fellow K-State fans. We trick or treated at two houses in Missouri, before leaving. We were offered broccoli or carrots at one house in Missouri. It just seemed to risky, trick or treating amongst MU fans.

Procrastination
That's probably not totally accurate of a title. I've been busy. Moving, new job, balancing work/family ect. But, the bottom line is, the halloween costumes are not finished.
I got a small cough on Thursday. Wolk up Friday morning, and went and bought the fabric. My plan all along was to sew during this long weekend. Instead, I had a bigger cough on Friday. Got part of Alex's done, went on a quick shopping trip to get part of Jonas' costume, came home, and had a fever. I was down for the count. I didn't rise again until today. My fever is gone at last.
The sewing machine still sits on the table waiting for me to get with it.
I'm running out of time. I shouldn't of waited until the weekend before Halloween. I have one scarf to finish knitting, some glasses to paint, a robe to make, and a shirt to make. Yikes.
I'm going back to work tomorrow. I will probably be exahusted, but I need to finish up these costumes.
Here are costumes of the past. Some of which I also procrastinated a bit on. But, they were always ready in time for Halloween night!

The Neighbors
This is what we see, when we look out our living room window. I'm not sure the dogs have ever seen cattle before. Ladybug is half Austrailian Cattle Dog. So, it is in her blood to herd. Dagny is the one that surprises me. The dog just lays around. When she runs, she waddles. She's far from fit. But, she spends much of her day barking at these cows.
Here's Ladybug, joining in on the action.
At first, the cows ran. Really, that's probably why this started. How fun is to make cows run?
But now,
The cows don't care too much.
That's good. I'd hate to upset the neighbors.

Names
It's a big job naming a new family member. We have not come to an agreement on this cat's name. I thought it was Harry, but it seems a few people want to name it Sargent, one wants to name it Barrack, one wants to name it Dumbo. It's complicated. It's getting plenty of lovin', even if it isn't getting a name.

Harry
Look what was in our garage this morning. We have four family members that want to keep it, and one that keeps mumbling about fleas, rabies, and chasing off noisy cats.
It was skinny and tiny, so Caleb donated the milk from his cereal.
If anyone is missing this kitten, we won't cry too much to give him back to his owner
BONUS:
Another video for your viewing pleasure. My mom's already seen this one, but it's good. It's Alex performing the entire Nutcracker Ballet. I added the music, after he was done dancing.

Up a creek without a paddle
I got to join Jonas on his field trip today. It was quite nice. He went to the American Royal and a Rodeo. I even kept my mouth shut about my feelings on the rodeo, both to him, as to not give him preconceived notions, and to any adult willing to listen to me. I can see how people enjoy rodeos.
I forgot my camera though. So, picture in your head, if you will, me and Jonas having a wonderful time learning about border collies hearding sheep, how to milk a cow, and picture Jonas petting a zebra at the petting zoo. Picture Jonas and I enjoying lunch together, and watching the rodeo together. Ahh, nice memories.
And, for no real reason, an old video, because my parents can no watch videos!

He's a Missouri boy now. Muck boots, gun and his dog.

Proof of that:

Cousins
Kaylee is now big enough to get in the middle of the action. This particular day, the boys were playing catch with Kevin and Pete, and Kaylee would run up and yell "TAG", and expect a boy to chase her.

Less than a week
Brace yourself. Less than a week until he's a teenager. I know, I've screamed a time or two out of fear myself.
