Mom is the Boss the most interesting blog out there

Jared sure is cool

I noticed, my wonderful entry about Jonas has zero comments (did no one notice how freakin' cute he is?) yet the post that doesn't even MENTION Jared, has nine comments. He tells me, that's because he's fasinating. I'm also told if I blogged about him more often, I would get even more comments.

I had a photo to go with this fasinating blog entry.. but, Jared claimed it wasn't flattering enough, so it's gone now.

Sirens are noisy

sirenSo many photographers

Jonas' class went on a field trip to a fire station. Last year, when they did this field trip, all of the trucks were gone. This year was better. They got to climb in the truck, listen to the siren, and watch a lovely movie featuring Gilbert Gottfried's voice.

We enjoyed lunch at Wendy's ($2.99) afterwards with some of his classmates. It's been wonderful day with my little boy.

Almost like flying

Fifteen minutes of this counts for one mile in Walk Kansas. As of now, we're in 14th place out of 184 teams. Not that we're compeditive, it's about being healthy, not walking the most.

A photo

I have yet to figure out how to put a photo in a post. So, nothing profound or interesting, just playing around with my photo options.

Planted them a bit early, I guess.

Well, that was easy. If only I had an easy button.

That was Easy

Into the working world

I still plan on classifiying myself as a stay at home mom, but now, for sixteen hours a week, I get to go schlep food for other people. Although, I looked up the word "schlep" to make sure I spelled it correctly... and the definition involves being slow. That's not me. My former boss asked one of the waitresses, as I was in the kitchen talking with him, if she knew me... she responded "No, but I've heard ALL about her, and heard she's a great cook." Gotta like that one.

So, now, once again, I'm the new person, at a place I originally started at 10 years ago this May. I have put in more time with this buisness than any other place I've ever worked at, quit twice, and am now back.

Moving again. (blog-wise)

This is my last move.

Right now it's not really interesting, I'm still working out the kinks, to get it how I want it to look. But, here it is, my VERY own URL.

http://www.momistheboss.org

all me, all the time!

I did like the look of this blog much more than 360, and I now have to figure out yet another type of blogging software. But, this is it. Where I will stay. I've wanted my own URL for ages. Jared bought me one. I'm a lucky lady.

My new “toy”.

What a nerd I am. I am so excited about having my own url. When I first started my 360 blog it was an experiment to see if I would stick with it. I thought, all along, I would love to expand, and have my own site, but could never bring myself to do it. Thanks to Jared and Jeremiah, I am now one very happy camper.

Caleb, on the other hand, while finding the url humorous, is not thrilled that I have something that is entertaining me so much online, because he wants to take over with my computer.

Entry for March 27, 2007

Alright, I'm moving again. (Blog-wise)

my brand new url is:

http://www.momistheboss.org

No more moving. This is it. It is up and running, but not that interesting right now, I'm still working on the behind the scenes stuff.... the look, the feel, ect. But, it's here, and ready for enjoyment.

10 year olds are always right

One of the classes I took for my very useful bacholer's degree was Early Childhood Education. It was one of my favorites. One thing discussed was that preteens and young teens like to point out mistakes in their parents. The example given, was the instructors son would watch her speedometer while she drove, and point out when she's speeding.

We were heading into Manhattan the other day, but almost out of gas. So, instead of making a right turn to go to Manhattan, I made a left turn to go to the gas station, because I didn't think the kids would enjoy walking 18 miles. Caleb, points out, instantly. "You're going the wrong way." Later, we're at the Library, and need to get to Target. Caleb announces, "You need to get onto Poyntz to get there." I turn to head a different direction, to hear.. "This way is not going to get us to Target." It seems to be a trend, when we're driving, to point out to mom, that she's not quite driving correctly.
