We got a call at around 3pm.. telling us that the baby was on it's way! So, I emailed Jared and told him to *rush* home... but, he had class last night, so, rushing got him home around 7pm... We got to the hospital around 10:30pm (the kids thought it was funny, at bedtime, we got into the minivan, and started driving, very exciting stuff). Then we waited. And waited, and waited.

Lucky for us, Grandma kept them entertained the entire time, with the power of a deck of cards. At 2 am-ish, the cutest little girl in the WORLD was born. We got to meet her around 3am. Introducing Kaylee Mae Bonar, 7 pounds 8 ounces of cuteness.

I was trying out a new setting on my camera "indoor".. um.. I didn't like it. Perhaps Jared can work some magic on these photos for me.

And last, the new dad, and all of the cousins.

Jonas announced at 3am, he wanted to go to preschool today (but didn't want to give up seeing the baby), the other two decided they would be ok missing school. So, we got home at 6:00.. I slept for about 1 hour, got Jonas up, and we headed to preschool, where I warned his teacher, that he might be sleepy. She said, if he falls asleep... we'll just let him sleep! (Apparently that happens more often than I thought.) He told me he was very glad to go to preschool. The kids got Wendy's for lunch, as a reward for being SUPER well behaved in the hospital. Alex and Caleb each have a photo to take into school now, a "doctor's note" to show everyone why they were absent.

I can't wait to go see Kaylee again. I think I'm needing a baby fix REAL soon.

At last, the weather allowed for a three hour drive, and therefore a visit.. We had fun fun fun.

A future blogger...

EDIT: Tonight, I tucked Alex into bed, and I asked him if he had fun with Lacy, Jake and Ryan. He told me he did. Then, he asked "Hey Mom, who did you mostly play with?". I told him Jamie. I asked him, who he mostly played with, and he told me Lacy. He then told me, that he thinks it's very nice, that they have five people in their family, and we have five people in our family, and everyone has someone to play with.

I had to agree with him.

The preschool bear, Sweetie Bear, is visiting us for the weekend. Jonas has been very busy entertaining him. After the wonderful TV dinner lunch they enjoyed together, they watched an interactive book on the comptuer (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh... because Sweetie Bear likes stories about bears, I'm told). We then played the game swipe together (photo above.. a bit dark). The two of them (between me and you, I think Jonas was the brains behind it) ganged up on me... and I never had a chance to win. Everytime they rolled the dice to swipe something, they always picked me. It was brutal. Now, Jonas is showing Sweetie Bear how to play Disney Extreme Skating Adventure.

I like to think of myself as a scrapbooker, but frankly... I'm not that good at committing my time and energy into the project. In our family books... where I started scrapbooking the kids growing up.. Alex is about 6 months old. That's how behind I am. So, I decided not to worry about that little problem, and just make one for our Disney Vacation. But, how do I condense 3000 photos (I snap a lot of photos) down to a scrapbook?

Well, I decided to do this first one, based on characters that we saw, and autographs that we got. I will work on a more comprehensive book later, but, I should start somewhere, and get it done. So, this is my project for awhile. I came up with the brilliant idea of seperating all of my stuff in baskets, to make it easier to be organized, and clean up. We'll see how that goes. I also have a HUGE pile of laundry sitting next to the coffee table, at some point, I need to fold it. So, it's not my only project.. is the point.

Jonas is engulfed in a computer game. Blue's Clues. He barely is talking to me.. just playing his game, and running out to the kitchen to grab a drink or bite to eat when needed. No time to talk. I will take advantage of him being occupied, and start this scrapbook.

Tonight was a "Dad's not home, so let's eat meat night". The kids had their new favorite, tator tot casserole. According to Jamie's recipe, I am suppose to line up the tator tots perfectly... when Alex helps, I tell him.. if Jamie finds out we're not making it perfect... she might get mad! He just giggles, he thinks super nice Jamie could never get mad, but knows that she would line them up perfect. So, tonight, I decided to cut corners... brace yourself. I just DUMPED the entire bag of tator tots on the top. I have to say.. it saved me probably 10-15 minutes, and it tasted JUST AS GOOD!

We went to McDonald's for dessert. Ice cream for everyone. Jared met us there, to take Caleb to a basketball game. Caleb was very excited just thinking about what kind of junk food he was going to request at half time. He told me, he had it narrowed down to nachos, a pretzel, and popcorn. We'll just have to wait until he gets home to hear what he had.
