Jonas got bit by a tick, this past weekend, when he walked 5 miles out at the Konza. The spot wasn't going away, so I made a doctor's appointment for him today.

He asked to take a bear with him, just in case he had to get a shot.. and he also wanted to know, when someone gets a shot, do they turn red? I told him, he won't have to get a shot, he told me, with his big blue eyes, he'd like to take the bear, just in case.

So, we arrive there, and Jonas asks if he can take the bear inside with him, in case he has to get a shot. I told him he could, but he wouldn't have to get a shot. I asked him if his bear was scared, he told me "no, but I am".

No shot. When we got back into the car, a big sigh came out of the back seat. "We were right, no shot".

Alex, in all of his compeditive spirit lapped me five times on the track walking today.

Jonas asked me today, "What's a husband". I told him Dad is my husband. Jonas then asked me,  "So, you're Dad's Life?". I told him, that I am his wife, but, I'm also his life, good point.

Alex had a soccer game tonight. He sure didn't inherit my lack of sporting skills. He is quite good out there on the field. (I'm sure I'm not playing favorites or anything.) Jonas saw Mrs. Grogan at soccer, and ran right over to say hi. Last fall, when he ran into her, he was always too shy to say hi. He's melding into preschool quite nicely.

Credit for the photo goes to Jared. I copied from flickr.

Today I overheard Caleb say... "Jonas! Will you do me a favor! I want to play Mario Kart and I NEED you to be on my team, or I might LOSE!". It warmed my heart, to hear Caleb go to much effort to include Jonas in on his precious video game time. I must be doing something right.

Jonas asked me, the other day, "Why does Poop come out of my butt?" I told him, he didn't need it anymore, he then asked me (refrasing, because obviously I didn't understand the question) "Why are we designed like this? Who designed us? Who decided what I look like?" I told him, I guess God picked what he looked like, but, I didn't know why we were designed like we were. He told me, He was glad God made him cute.

The family has become disney obsessed. It started with me, I think. I look for suggestions on how to make our trip more fun, we have a chain, currently with 110 links left, a link a day goes down. It started at 122, I think. I am working on ordering way too much stuff off of eby, so the boys each get a disney themed easter basket, with characters, mickey candy, pins for trading, going crazy. Last night, I finally bought a Pal Micky on ebay. I laughed when I read about the over priced suffed animal that would entertain us in the park in the book. But, now, we are the proud owners of one, and the boys are saving up to buy it a tourist outfit complete with fanny pack, and a safari outfit for when we go to animal kingdom. A bit obsessed. Less than four months to go. We watch new disney movies a couple times a week, last night was Mulan. Jonas exclaimed at the end how much he loved when the bad guy was hit by the rocket and blew up. He was very excited.

Spring break is this week. Alex had so many video game coupons stashed that he played video games for about 3 hours straight today.

Jared's new car is busted. It busted when Kevin plugged something in to fix something totally different. Only one car payment has been made on this car. The tempo never did this to us. What a fine car it was.

Today I made dinner reservations for our disney trip. It is almost four months until the trip, and already, Planet Hollywood was booked solid from 5pm to 10pm on the night we picked. Crazy people. We were suppose to start booking 2 months ago.

Today is the first day of Walk Kansas. Caleb, Jonas and I went for a walk while Alex was at soccer practice.

Caleb was sick last night, and spent the day complaining about his cracker diet, that eating mud would be better.

Alex went outside early this morning, while it was still quite cold, to play basketball. I think he likes his new goal.

Today we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to celebrate Alex's Birthday. It is an hour and a half drive to have this fun celebration, we got home after 10pm, and the boys fell asleep very quickly.

Alex is getting a basketball goal for his birthday. Jonas watched me put it together, and promised to keep it a secret. Yesterday, Caleb mentioned (when Alex was not around) that he really wished we had a basketball goal, and Jonas piped up "soon we will have one". I hushed him up quickly. I finished getting it set up tonight. Tomorrow, we will not tell Alex about it, but, one of his gifts is a basketball... we will casually mention that there might be something to go with it.

Jonas is going to a birthday party tomorrow. He gets to play for one hour, and then we need to rush home for Alex's party. I need to have Alex's party ready to go by 12:30, when I leave to take Jonas bowling.

The boys and I bought tons of travel supplies today at target, for our trip to Walt Disney World (which is still 4 months away). They had a blast picking out toothbrushes and other tiny items.

We have booked our Walt Disney World Vacation. In preparation for our trip, I have decided to reduce the number of calories I eat, so that I can enjoy the water parks more. We also have decided to start walking, we started tonight, with a brief 2 1/2 block walk. We are joining the "Walk Kansas" program, where we will walk a combined total of 485 miles over the course of 8 weeks. Grandma is going to round out our team of 6. I read online, that we should be able to walk 5 miles without feeling any pain, before going to WDW. I think we should do even more. I am also reading a guide book, that happens to be 800 pages long. There is a lot of preperation for this trip. We also joined Netflix, so that the kids can watch tons of Disney movies, and get to know the characters before we leave. Tonight we watched "The Three Cabellaros".  It sure is hard work, going on vacation.
